FACTS
Army Public School, Lucknow had it's origin in the form of an Army School which was established in 1981 to meet the educational requirements of army children and to a limited extent, civilian children. Commencing at the primary level it rapidly grew into a high school in 1984. With the realisation of the need of providing quality education to meet the modern challenges, it was elevated to the status of Army Public School in 1986.

Curriculum

- Computers
Computer studies form an integral part of the school curriculum from class IV to class XII. The school has four fully equipped computer labs which are set up for hands-on training on computers. The school participates in inter-school Software Development contests and has been winning prizes regularly. - Science Education
The school has built up a powerful programme to create interest in science and maths and popularize the same. Every child participates in the programme by studying a topic of his/her choice and presenting the same through study projects, models, charts etc.

In addition to meeting the educational needs of army personnel, the school also considers other students from all over India and abroad, it is a co-educational institution offering boarding facilities to boys as well as girls from class VI to XII. The school students are divided into four houses which are Dhaulagiri, Kamet, Nanda and Trishul. The house are named after the lofty Himalayan peaks to inspire the students to attain new and great heights. NCC training is imparted upto class X both for boys and girls(Junior Wing-Army)
